The overall project objective is enhancing the role of military heritage tourism in economic development by extending the Baltic military heritage tourism product in Lithuania and South Latvia.
Visitors in the programme area will benefit from qualitative touristic experiences. SMEs in tourism will gain economic benefits from tourism.
The cross-border approach takes balanced input from all partners and strong local involvement to ensure the quality and integrity of the product. Military heritage tourism product on pan-Baltic scale is a new concept. The project will join the individual sites and objects in rural areas in a stakeholder network that enables cooperation between organisations, information exchange, and learning from each other.
Total project budget is 641 927,48 EUR. Co-funding of European Regional Development Fund is 513 541,98 EUR.
